A Bit About Me
After 30 rewarding years in Toronto, I'm delighted to be back in my hometown of Thunder Bay. My professional life has been a rich tapestry, weaving together a deep understanding of human well-being with practical expertise in organizational growth. I believe this unique blend allows me to offer a truly integrated and compassionate approach to supporting you, whether personally or professionally.

My Professional Path
My career began in provincial government, where I spent 26 years, including 16 in senior management. It was a privilege to lead teams in dynamic sectors like culture, tourism, sport, and immigration. This experience provided invaluable insights into strategic planning, grants management, and organizational development. Beyond government, I enjoyed leadership roles in the not-for-profit sector, including serving as Executive Director of the Ontario Fitness Council and Managing Director for professional dance companies. My extensive executive background now fuels my consulting services, where I assist various organizations in achieving their goals.

My Therapeutic & Dance Journey
My passion for deeper understanding led me back to school. I earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2023, and a Diploma in Dance/Movement Therapy from the National Centre for Dance Therapy in Montreal. My connection to dance/movement therapy dates back to my Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts in Dance from York University in the 1980s.
I am proud to be President of the national organization that recently launched certification for dance/movement therapists in Canada. I offer psychotherapy services at the Thunder Bay Naturopathic Clinic and am thrilled to be launching my dance/movement therapy practice here.
A Lifelong Love of Dance
Dance has been a constant in my life, shaping me from my childhood in Thunder Bay through my university studies and professional career. I've engaged with the dance world as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, tour manager, and producer. My recent certification as a C-I Training (conditioning with imagery) teacher further enriches my ability to share the profound connection between mind and body through movement.
